Fans returning is big advantage to the home team,

Luton beat Norwich(albeit a weakened one with all their injuries) but a small number of fans can surely give that edge.We will not be able to take that advantage. It's just unfortunate that we are in this position and we have no option at present but to play in an empty stadium. It will be interesting to see how the results pan out where fans are allowed in.

Our players would more likely prefer the empty grounds without the moaning and booing of the next scapegoat

Although it's only 2k attendance max any extra encouragement could well be to the home teams advantage.
Like you say, let's see how it pans out.
Roll on the end of the season.

I think it may well give teams a boost and advantage but I cannot bring myself to begrudge fans being allowed back. If we could go in for home games but weren't allowed because somewhere in Cornwall say isn't deemed safe enough it wouldn't be very fair. Same both ways, no matter how frustrating. Whilst I wouldn't enjoy it against us, hearing that slight roar for now when a goal goes in has been long overdue.

Unusual times so as you say it's hard to begrudge. It would be equally as unfair for all 92 clubs to have to wait until every area is in a position for safe return, unless of course the league financiers can compensate 100% of lost receipts.

Yeah absolutely. In theory you could argue that everyone should be compensated as if they had two thousand fans in to keep that playing level fairer. But then clubs are making losses on that with stewards etc in place so 2k isn't even about making money. It's to demonstrate how it can be done. They wont finance it unfortunately but trying to on an average gate would make sense

An occasional “c’mon you reds” prompted by the electronic scoreboard isn’t going to spur our players on much.

Your condescending attempts at sarcasm are beginning to get right up my crack.

Have you ever played the game to any level which entitles you to your smug comments?
