Ok, so through no fault of his (so we understand), Lewis Hamilton has Covid and George Russell from Williams is standing in as driver.

There has been much talk of how to make F1 more exciting, (reverse qualifying start grids etc), so George posting quickest practice times is all to the good, so.......how about football?

How about, for a fixed number of fixtures (say 6 each season), but chosen by the club irrespective of what the opposition might do, each club fields its "declared" U23 squad players (no players who have played for the 1st team allowed)? Chance for the U23s to shine, level playing field as all clubs would have to complete each season having played 6 with an U23 squad, a damned sight less certain than what we see each week with 1st team squad (and a way to expose clubs who hoover up talent simply to stop them from playing for the opposition).

Thoughts?
