    Appere

Big, strong, direct. So what is the end game here with him, just kick about the bench till his contract runs out. What he gave the team last year, even when up against premier league opposition was 10 x better than what we are seeing on the pitch as a collective right now. Feel like we are ruining him tbh.

Shankland and Appere were our two money makers looking to the future. No seeing that now sadly and its really hard to watch. Boy deserves a proper run of games.

Im sick of watching us. If it continues i for one look forward to Mellon leaving at the end of his contract. He might deliver survival but it also might come at the cost of us losing what little attacking talent we have as i’d be out the door if i was them. McNulty has done nothing since joining but Appere sits on bench when there could be a sell on value in the future. It might not be the same for everyone but i’d rather get relegated having a go than watch us defend our way to safety!

I get your frustration as it’s very hard for all of us to watch just now, but I’m confident performances will improve with better players brought in, however, this will need financed and will most likely not be until crowds return to football, in particular away fans as this is the additional income required to pay wages and transfer fees. And to this end we have to be in the Premier League, as the away supports in the Chumpionship are awful. As for ‘having a go’ we tried this at the beginning of the season but after a few encouraging results we then started to get pumped, so having a go isn’t going to do us any favours with the current pool of players. Just need to grimace and bear it for the next wee while mate.

Would be great if we could play attractive attacking football every week but if that means getting beat every week and relegated back down there and spending years getting out again think I would rather put up with a season of defensive crap to keep us up then hopefully start improving on what we have.

Think McNulty might have a bit more mobility and pace about his game than Shankland/Clark, hard to tell because he faces exact same problem all our strikers do, complete lack of quality service. We need a Charlie Miller attack style midfielder who can actually run forward with the ball, take us into the last third of park and link with the strikers. In the absence of that, a Safranko style hitman would be far more effective than any the strikers we have which seem all similar in style, as he would at least win a few headers and keep the ball up there, which is important when our centre halves shell those punts. Appere probably has shown nothing in his subbie appearances and games he has started so far unfortunately, looks bereft of confidence.

It’s matters like this I’d like to see the club explain to the fans, if it’s his fitness, injury, application, attitude whatever, let us, the paying customer know what’s going on. As customers imo we deserve this service much like the carrier bags issue
