When the likes of Galloway / McCarron / Branthwaite get sold for significant fees the club routinely gets 'add-on / sell-on' clauses put into the deal.

But I do not hear of Eric Kinder featuring financially in these situations either for the original transfer deal or the 'add-on / sell-on' part. Of course it can be argued that it is his job to produce talent from a bunch of 14 year olds upwards.

This reminds me of the bloke who designed the Daleks. The author, Terry Nation gave a vague specification to a BBC props / set decorator and completely left him to it. Subsequently the BBC made incredible amounts of money selling Doctor Who around the world on the strength of there occasionally being Dalek stories. Terry Nation owned the copyright on the Dalek design, so his heirs continue to do very well out of it, not only when there are new Dalek stories but also perpetually from the licensing of the myriad of goods sold worldwide. Doctor Who would not have returned in 2005 without the BBC getting an agreement with the Terry Nation heirs about the Daleks. The Daleks began in 1963. Several years later the BBC gave the real designer of the Daleks a one-off ex-gratia payment of £100.

Is it likely that Eric Kinder just gets paid for doing his job or will he benefit from the sale of players that have come through his system?
