By here I take it you refer to England rather than a particular area of England or part of the UK.

Surely if the thing is mutating it would mutate everywhere or they saying there is different mutations in different countries. Is there a link!

France never had CJD when we suffered with it here in cattle. Why?

From what I’ve learnt our scientists are leading edge with the genetic code sequencing of the virus and tracking and auditing its various mutations. So yes although we are the first to identify, or at least publically announce it as such it is likely that it is indeed widespread in Europe as well.
In the end ignorance will be no excuse but let’s face it many of worlds governments have little or no accurate idea of what’s going on.
To use the football analogy again the opposition have scored another goal just when we were getting back into the game.

Not bad at all, but how are all these research facilities within universities financed and funded? It’s not directly funded by government. They could be privately funded. I’m aware some of my friends here in Cardiff (known from the uni days) work in these departments at Cardiff University. Let’s hope this financing continues. But in the meantime let hope our gov are making pandemic contingency plans from now on.. but only once we get Trident/HS2 funding out the way first, because those are more critical to our survival.

We’ve only just started rolling out the vaccine, this Covid variant sprouted up some weeks ago.

Viruses mutate as a matter of course, it’s their remit, that’s what they do, they infect and mutate.

I honestly hope you don’t catch Covid and really suffer and have the time to reflect.
