Bruce: “in the end you need to have a bit of a break and it didn't go our way.”

Well I have to say I think luck has been going his way for the majority of the season because the way we have performed most of this season should have seen us take numerous spankings and tankings leaving us deep in the mire.

He's right, like...you need a bit of a break when you put your strongest available team out against a side a division below you who have made 5 changes to their starting 11.

The irony he's missing is that the teams we've drawn in this run have been the 'bit of a break' he was asking for.

That we didn't take advantage of this break is to his eternal discredit.

This. You need a bit of a break when you play teams that are of a similar standard to yours and are cancelling each other out.
The man is truly pathetic with his tactics, team motivation and comments.
He came out with it would’ve been our first league cup semi in x years as some kind of positive. I mean, Jesus, just look at who we played and got knocked out by and the huge difficulties/luck needed to get through.
The fact that Brentford rested players is the cherry on the cake.
