Another hard hard fought bruising match

Another game that resembled more of a boxing match than a football match.
I hope there are no injuries from the game.
Very much head tennis for long periods.
Well done TYKES defence for holding firm at the back.
Hope Rotherham now go on to finish a place behind Barnsley and away from the relegation zone.

Rotherham's plan was to rough us up in the second half and it looked as though they’d got the refs blessing to do it.

    As for the players:
Huge effort by all the players - and satisfied with them - except for the following points:

Walton - as Patrick said, our goalkeepers will become the first line of ATTACK.
That’s a great theory if the goalkeeper can actually kick the ball.
We have a goalkeeper, a footballer, that can’t kick the ball !!!
How many times did he slice the ball into touch - and therefore give the impetus to Rotherham !?!?!

Victor - clearly not ready for a start.
    Couldn’t hit a barn door.
Needs time to mature and calm down.

Frieser - hard working but dosen’t seem to hold any threat at scoring.

Agree - and it nearly worked.
Plus - other team managers will see this.

Victor will improve. A run of five games starting will see him score and grow. Nowt to lose agains the next three opponents.
I expect Mowatt, And Woodrow to go. There’s some on here moaned about not having a man who can hold the ball....... Victor can.
Scoring, may not be his main contribution to our team.

Agree abart Victor Jules. If he keeps doing the right things, learns and shows patience then it allows for his final growth into a man over the next few months, his upper body strength comes on then wiv a big unit and dangerous player on us hands.
