An awful end to an awful year.

Regardless of the lengthy stoppage of football from March to August, to have won only SIX League matches in the entire year is completely and utterly unacceptable and no faux 3rd placed 'finish' can gloss over that. Add to that our dismal Cup exits at home to St.Mirren and St.Johnstone and the fact that on the 30th December we have still failed to score a single equalising goal this season and it has been an dreadful time to be a Motherwell supporter.

We need drastic change, starting with the manager.

We've played 28 league games this year and taken 26 points from my quick scan. It is utterly Hearts-esque.

From the 1st January 2020 to the present date we have the worse record of any team in the league. We lack fighters in the team who are prepared to burst a gut at any cost for the team. Moult, Alfred, Hartley and to a lesser extent Tait all fought for every ball, and in particular a game like this Saturday against Accies was food and drink to them. IMO I can’t see any leaders amongst the current lot. Chapman fills me with no confidence for Saturday as he is totally inept at going for cross balls into our area, Accies will score from set pieces for certain. Just wish the club would put a block on our players from giving interviews whereby the state they no the importance of our next game and what it means to them and the fans. Instead do your talking on the pitch and if the lose put them in front of the cameras to justify the teams performance then

There's no justification for such a return. We were bad enough before the shut down but we afforded Robinson ample scope to rebuild the squad over the summer to go with the ample time he had to prepare for the rebuild and we end up with White, Lamie, McGinley, Hastie, Long and Lang to add to Seedorf, Grimshaw and Mugabi. With the loss of the one real quality player we had in Turnbull then the squad is weaker now than it was in March.

Robinson has proved over the past three summers now that he cannot and should not be trusted anymore in the transfer market and that's why he needs to go.

Only Ross County and St.Mirren have scored less goals than us. Our manager has talked about the chances we have created in games, but I don’t see the point if we don’t have someone to stick them away. We are liable to get a doing on Accies pitch? on Saturday because we hide in physical games, Accies score first and our heads will drop and then it’s game over. It is all right for the players not being concerned about our performances this season as more than half of them won’t be here next season for one reason or another. But just wish they would give a thought for some of the people behind the scenes who are likely to lose their jobs through no fault of their own if we are relegated which is becoming more and more realistic as the weeks pass.

Yes, some players must shoulder responsibility as well. Maybe they are demoralised though at being asked to play in positions for which they aren't suited?
