    O/T Lockdown Till The Summer?

According to the Mail Sage are throwing their weight around again saying we should be locked up till the Summer. I expect an announcement that another super dooper virus strain as been detected and is immune to the vaccination. Will this sh1t never end?

Its getting to be a right pain in the ar*e now to be honest. Lockdown was not so bad last time as it was through Spring and Summer. You could sit in the garden or walk out in the sunshine for exercise. But if its a lockdown again soon the weather will be sh*t. Who wants to go for a walk in the pouring rain or even worse bloody snow? I cancelled our holiday and re-booked it for April 2021 thinking it will be sorted by then. The way things are going that is going down the tubes as well and although I know it's not the end of the world its still depressing to spend 12 months solid in bloody Great Barr without a change of scenery.

If lockdown continues into the summer I’ll be forced to start dishing out redundancy notices if furloughing ends.

Job losses will be rattling through like the cherries on a one armed bandit by that point.

I sincerely sympathise with ya Mick. Small/medium businesses will be obliterated and many are just about hanging on in the hope that the vaccine will be the cavalry. I cant see it me self. I certainly hope you get through this as sports etc are really getting the brunt end of this madness. Many may agree or disagree on this insanity but the new slogan ought to be to 'wreck lives to save lives'

    Thanks Phil.

I had 12 mega weeks in April/May/June due to the great weather but with squash courts shut, no indoor badminton, no racketball, almost no tennis indoors or out and a more tricky early 2021 shipping to European customers we are facing a very tough three months now.

I’ll need mega weather from early March and a cracking summer otherwise I’ll need a rethink.

I’ve already got a Pre-App in with the council to convert my warehouse and offices into a 24 apartment site so if I get that and trade is dire I’ll shrink the business and the staff and develop the site.

I’ve had enough of the hassle of fighting to exist in business.
