    Colin Bell R.IP

Wonderful player , box to box, always seemed to be on the move, never standing still. The sort of player every club wished they had in their team. Never let you down. Priceless by today’s standards, and would have looked at home in today’s City team. Should have won more than the 48 England caps he ended up with. Anyone see him at the Turf in his heyday ?

I must have seen him but had eyes only for the Burnley players in those days. He was a mate of Colin Waldron, I think they had a pub called the Bell-Waldron somewhere.

He had the engine of a Tank and ate up the pitch every time.

Certainly one of the best players of his time who would really have thrived on today's pitches and the lack of proper tackling allowed.
Always loved to watch him and so sad to hear of his passing. RIP Colin Bell and thanks for some great memories.
