    COVID-19 at clubs

Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday's preparations for Saturday's FA Cup third-round ties have been affected by positive Covid-19 cases within first-team players and staff.

We know we’ve had it and Derby also

Think half of clubs in L1 have

Should have been a January break

Southampton and Shrewsbury postponed. I didn’t think they were doing postponements and one team would get a bye.

So very roughly 1 in 90 of the UK population has covid.

In football clubs with their supposed bubbles and enclosed society its much more common.

So their control measures don't work

Don’t know rules because they’re made up as they go along, won’t be surprised if Shrews have to forfeit because Southampton won’t want or won’t find a new date

Unless they've changed their minds on the 'rule' they published earlier in the week then Shrews are unable to fulfil the fixture and therefore forfeit.

Yes Cam that’s what I thought but when have rules been consistent, lower leagues will forfeit but don’t be at all surprised if this was other way round then they would forfeit unless cup means nothing to them

    Sky Sport - 2 days ago - might be a u-turn

"FA Cup: Clubs will not automatically forfeit ties if COVID-19 stops them fulfilling fixture"

If 14 players are availble club will have to play.

Decisions on case by case basis.

It’s the fact they’ve used the term postponed which suggests they’ll still play.

Orient didn’t get a postponement in the other cup. Spurs got the bye.
