Burnley v Bournemouth FA Cup Round 5 Match Preview

In the battle of the Anfield victors yesterday honours were even between Burnley and Brighton as JBG cancelled out Dunk’s first half goal for the Seagulls. We now swap one set of South Coast visitors for another as Bournemouth come to Turf Moor with a QF place at stake in the FA Cup. The Cherries are in a period of transition following their relegation from the PL last season. That demotion led to Eddie Howe leaving the club and Bournemouth have recently sacked Jason Tindall putting Jonathan Woodgate in charge as temporary manager. Some notable players have also departed with Callum Wilson and Josh King moving to Newcastle and Everton respectively. Last time out in the Championship Bournemouth defeated Birmingham City 3-2. They are currently in the Play Off places and will be targeting a quick return to the PL. Jack Wilshere may well start at the Turf along with ex-Claret Junior Stanislas. The Clarets priority remains PL survival so expect the usual raft of changes before our key League games away to Crystal Palace and then home to Fulham. Vydra who was excellent against Brighton should start against Bournemouth and if he can get the goal his play deserves he could really ignite his season and take us one step closer to Wembley. COYC!

If he stays with Vydra and JRod we should win.

I am of the opinion we must play our strongest possible starting eleven.

We don't often get the chance to reach the quarter finals of the FA Cup.

A Championship team at home or not, if we reach the quarter finals of the FA Cup, I shall consider showing my arse in Burton's window.

I'll pay out of my own pocket to have the Burnley store spruced up, open and ready.

Don’t make rash promises so easily. At least say I will consider baring my hindquarters if we reach the Final!
