Netflix - Fear City - New York v The Mafia.

A really good multi part look at how New York took apart the five Mafia families running the city through the 70’s.

What makes it so watchable is all the old cops who are still alive to tell the tale.

I like the way these historic situations are being captured properly before the participants die, something like this will still be watchable 100 years from now.

If you like real life crime this is excellent stuff.

Enjoyed the Judge mickd buddy. Thanks.
Did you say that you had followed Bloodline? We find it quite compelling, albeit typically of these long series, potentially never ending !

Bloodline does come to an end Paul, it’s well worth sticking with.

If you want a good one off film then try “The Frozen Ground” with Nicholas Cage and John Cusack.

It’s a serial killer movie based closely on a true story.

The also a very good film made back in the 90’s by Michael Douglas called The Game.

I don’t know if it’s on Netflix but it’s well worth hunting for.

It’s a psychological thriller with one of the best endings I’ve ever seen in a film.

I always used to talk to old guys about local history while they were still alive and remembered things.
As you say much better learning like that than reading stuff from a book that someone as old as me has written second hand.
