Thread: Southampton..?

  1. #1

    Question Southampton..?

I watched the Seagulls slay the Saints yesterday and just realised if we can repeat that dose of medicine to them in a fortnight, Southampton are in a real relegation dog fight.

They are certainly missing Ings, they are a bit like Palace with Zaha, too dependent.

We owe them one as our home performance against them was shocking

If we can get something there it would take the pressure off

After 14 matches, Southampton were in 7th place with 24 points, having played 14 games.
We were in 16th place with 13 points, having played 13 games.

Since then, Southampton have played 15 matches and picked up a further 9 points and scored 11 whilst conceding 32 goals.
We have played 16 matches and picked up further 20 points and scored 14 and conceded 18.

Southampton will have to do considerably better in their remaining 9 matches than they have done in their previous 9 because they picked up just 4 points.

Given Fulham's defeat by Leeds if we win this the fat lady should be singing.

Right across all Burnley FC related social mediums there is still a general sense of panic.

Worry not, we will finish on...
