    Fawlty Towers

BBC are doing a rerun of Fawlty Towers, but will erase the offensive stuff.
There will be 12 five minute episodes.

Never rated 'Faulty Towers' but what's the point in leaving out the supposed offensive bits. Waste of time in my opinion. Either show it as it was originally produced or not at all.

I watched the O'Reilly episode, and there was a definite 'D@go twit' comment aimed at Manuel. Made me laugh

That’s how hypocritical the BBC are - it’s ok to have the above in which is no more racist than saying something similar to a certain race or colour or whether they are gay! Do we really think the BBC would not have cut it then!!! It’s just the same so totally double standards in my book! Had that phrase been similar about a certain race or colour the complaints switchboard would have been in overload with snowflakes!

I agree all those old programmes though - Fawlty Towers - Love Thy Neighbour - Please Sir - Carry On - Steptoe and Son were all classics and people laughed. You are not allowed to laugh now though!!

Love thy neighbour was funny and ALWAYS had the black guy getting the better of the white guy which I thought was a great idea. We used to call each other the same names at our mixed school then forget it all with a laugh. Happy days.

One of the main points of contention was the Major explaining the difference between the Indian and West Indian cricket teams. Would never get near broadcasting now
