It will be interesting to see, how Dover's misfortune will affect the league table.
£40,000 fine a bit harsh on a non-league club, yet we don't know how much
money, was passed down from the EFL to non-league clubs.

    It'll certainly boost Chesterfield's chances.

Can you also imagine what the EFL would throw at us if we fail to play all our outstanding games! Doesn't bare thinking about.

...a different set of rules and fines already has our name on it in a file at the EFL, just waiting for us to slip up............

Wouldn’t surprise me. They hate non big money clubs being up there with the so called ‘massive’ elite clubs.

On the club website, Jim Parmenter (Chairman) is saying grants were not forthcoming for the second half of the season (Jan onwards).

It seems like clubs were funded for the first part of the season up to the end of December through Government grants (the taxpayer).* No funding was forthcoming for the second half of the season.*

In mid Jan he shut the club and furloughed all staff and players.

Grants and loans are available via the Sports Council, with grants in exceptional circumstances. It seems like theyve not been given a grant.* Parmenter has said he'll not use the loan option as hes not prepared to put the club in long term debt.

Hes citing exceptional circumstances. Of course they are.* Every club and business has had very big calls to make the last12 months.

Dover,s reasons for not completed their fixtures were different to ours though

They put players and staff on furlough for financial reasons and it was planned and premeditated
Ours was for medical reasons, unplanned and unavoidable

Apart from Dover quite a few other clubs are less than impressed how this has been managed, so it might end up with a vote of no confidence in the management structure of the league
