A real guitar treat tonight for anyone interested.

The Stables theatre is showing a film online of Albert Leeís 2017 gig there. Albert is an amazing guitarist who has played with some of the best acts in the World, including The Everly Brothers, Emmylou Harris, Eric Clapton and Sheryl Crow, to name but a few. The film is being shown to help support the venue after the hard times of lockdown with no live gigs, tickets are £12.50 and it starts at 7:30pm tonight. Itís a great gig, I was there in the second row! Recommended if you would like something diff to watch instead of the usual dross on TV.

brilliant, doesnít get the recognition he deserves, when Clapton was going through his slow hand stage and couldnít really play some of his own stuff old Albert pulled him through on stage.he took over from James burton in the Emmy Lou Harris band ,that in itself is no mean feat.

The first Emmylou Harris gig that I went to was in Birmingham, she was backed by The Hot Band and Albert Lee had just replaced James Burton; that was probably the first time that I saw Albert play. Over the years, Emmylou has had some wonderful guitarists in her band and I also saw her when she toured with Mark Knopfler, that was awesome!

My favourite Clapton album is Just One Night. Albert Lee was part of his band at that time and he makes a very significant contribution
