Ben Foster Back In The Premier League

Really pleased for Ben Foster as even at 38 - he's a top keeper. In my eyes he's a class apart from Johnstone.

Shame they are coming up and we look to be passing them in the other direction. Norwich and Watford have done well this year and still have class players. If we go down, I do fear for us as some of our players are not good enough for an automatic promotion challenge. Loan players will be gone plus I believe we will lose Pereira and Johnstone.

We also need to clear out Kanu, Livermore, Sawyers and Zohore! Where are the young players coming through? Sad how Field appears not to want to return but can you blame him!

In terms of investment and rebuilding - a top manager is crucial backed by investment. This will only happen if Lai is gone otherwise I fear the worse!

PS - I don't mind losing tomorrow at the Vile if the players run themselves ragged into the ground - sweat dripping from their faces - energy - passion and fighting for the badge! Will this happen?

Foster has not been in the Watford team for a while, has he? I can’t remember the name of the other keeper but the bloke has kept Foster out of the team, unless Ben was injured?

I believe Bens contract at Watford expires in the summer of 2022. The one that does expire this summer is Troy Deeney so expect paper talk around potential move for him.

A one legged Deeney would be a vast improvement on the bag of lard we have up front in Diange

I don't know what substance Paul Merson was on when he said that it was a foregone conclusion that the other Championship sides had no chance next season as the three teams coming down were the best squads ever relegated. I'd agree that if we were to have this squad next season we would be strong but at least half of them will be gone.

I don’t think that anyone believes what comes out of Merson’s mouth, the blokes a fool.

I honestly think we would struggle even now if we played Norwich or Watford! We struggled to get out of the championship with poor players but we are going back into it with a worse squad than the one promoted and most likely without Johnstone or Pereira.

Don’t say we have to be reliant again on Livermore, Sawyers, Kanu and the inconsistent Phillips!! Get rid of them!
