Wilder - It's Another Karlan Grant!

Lots of things flying around and would guess they are true otherwise there would be an appointment. Here's a classic below:

He tweeted yesterday saying that Wilder ‘wanted’ the job but that the club are yet to ‘agree the deal’:

It's another Karlan Grant! We all know too that Fat Sam would have stayed if the deal was beneficial!

As a club we will achieve nothing and slide further with k nob Dowling at the helm and that useless passionless little
    t wat in China!!

    Do one Dowling!

How accurate this information is, I don't know, but I was told it was as good as a done deal a few days ago. And they were wrangling over the backroom staff.

My best guess is that we will have to pay compensation to Sheff Utd for some of Wilder's previous backroom staff and we are baulking at it. And that's causing the hold up.

I hope you are right 123 and that would make sense!

Yes, I also hope that you are right 123 but let's face it, nothing at the Albion at present makes sense! Although I would like Lampard there's no chance of that so let's make sure that we get Wilder.

For me the important thing is to make a decision one way or the other.

Everything must be known by now relating to salary, compensation costs, agents costs etc etc. Make a decision yes or no because we need the new appointment as soon as possible.

There is a huge rebuilding job to be done at the club and what happens between now and the start of the new season will decide if we have a chance of getting promoted next season or if we are going to be in a battle to stay in the Championship.

The nest few weeks are that crucial IMO.

The West Brom selection process is a bit like this: Its late in the day and you are holding out to take someone on a date, so you keep talking to a couple of dogs just in case you run out of time hoping all the time that the perfect model walks through the door begging you to take her on a date. Of course that never happens so you toss a coin to see which dog you take. Then you tell the world that the choice you made was after much deliberation and that you are absolutely delighted!

I agree Yarm buddy. To appoint someone, irrespective of their ability, who is dissatisfied with the conditions of their appointment is shortsighted. I appreciate the need to negotiate, but our track record in this area is dire.

It’s looking more like Appleton methinks.

I’ll never forget that West Ham game with Hodgson watching from the wings, complete collapse second half, he really was hopelessly out of his depth...

If ever one half of a match tainted a manager that West Ham match was it.

If Appleton hadn’t been in charge the tide of opinion against him would probably not exist.
