15,000 Football Fans Go To Portugal BUT!!!

Crazy - 15000 football supporters were allowed to go to Portugal by the government for a farcical final which could have been played in the UK and now Portugal has just gone on the amber list from green!

What the f uck are you playing at Boris with so many inconsistencies? Looks like there will be no overseas travel for the foreseeable future and prices are rocketing in the UK!

Was that the strategy all along? Pathetic with so many inconsistencies and reversals!

Can fully understand where you are coming from but the reality is that we have respond to what is happening at the time. It is no good just sticking with a plan just we have one!

West Brom do that, no plan B, C let alone D, just plan A and look where that has got us. I have no problem with plans changing, they are changing all over the world as Governments try to balance the needs of the health of its citizens as well as the economy

Totally agree Yarm. The rate of cases in Portugal has increased recently so putting them on the amber list is quite correct. People moan and groan when the government doesn't take decisive action and now that they have, they still moan. The government can't win either way.

Only morons in a pandemic would allow 15000 supporters to travel overseas with zero social distancing. Anyone with half a brain would have sanctioned for the final to be in the UK.

Surprise surprise - many have come back with the virus!

Is it any surprise why some countries don’t want the Brits to even enter! Oh - the Indian Variant! Had the borders been closed much quicker then the problem would not be here or half as bad! Why wasn’t the borders closed faster than the reverse of the traffic light system? Madness!!

An acquaintance has a mate who lives on the Algarve. He went into a local hospital for a surgical procedure last week and surprise, surprise, he found the hospital to be full of Brits with Covid!

It was absolutely a crazy decision to allow loads of football fans to travel abroad for a match. It will be infuriating if we don’t have the easing of restrictions on June 21st because of those idiots, along with the irresponsible people that have up until recently, been going to and from India; we have them to thank for this ‘Indian’ variant.
