RUFC Job Vacancy - First Team Analyst

Lots of first team analysts on this site so there might be a job for someone here.

gru, come on, tell em where they're getting it all wrong.

On another note, it smacks of desperation when we have to bring someone in to do all that. Seems like Stewart is seeing Warne just ain't getting it right and maybe this role may help him.

I suggest there aren’t many clubs if any that haven’t got one of these….it’s nothing new or unique..

As for gru,he can only give an update analysis of the team 3 years ago..so not much good to us in the present day really..!..

We've had analysts at the club for years, most professional clubs have them.

So are we saying the one we had was no good so they left/pushed or we never had one and we’re getting one now?

We already had one, possibly more. It's not clear if the new position is to replace somebody or to add to the existing staff.

Maybe the one we had was so good at his job that he's been poached by a bigger club? Who knows. Everything doesn't always have to be for a negative reason.

We need to follow the Brentford example. Believe they have a team of 12 young computer boffins/football nuts who literally analyse everything worldwide in football and present their reports to their super smart chairman for action. A watered down version is not beyond us.

Moneyball is the way many are going. A striker who scores 1 goal in a game from 4 clear cut chances is more desirable than one who scores 2 from 2. Seems illogical but it has plenty of merit, as shown by Brentford etc
