England v Czech Republic Match Thoughts

We definitely need a good performance and a win with preferably Harry Kane on the scoresheet .

Whether we get one is another matter altogether .

Anyway Jack Grealish starts along with young Saka tonight .

    We live in hope .

I'm hoping " though it won't go down well with many " England lose ! Already qualified ??? God knows how ,, maybe then, more question marks will be asked about the " Clueless Manager " Forza ditalia and good luck Scotland !

Good to see Saka going at them he’s causing a few problems.
Grealish not involved as much but what I like about him is he very rarely waste the ball.

We look a better side with Grealish and Saka with the young Arsenal lad really impressing .

Kane looks better , which to be fair wouldn't be remarkably difficult given his form in the first two games .

Let's hope we can get that second goal because the Czech Republic look capable of nicking summat .

Much better from England tonight, especially first half. Second aif we controlled the game and never looked in danger but lost our attacking momentum. The substitutes upset our rhythm I felt but Southgate was correct to bring off our big hitters.

Young Saka looks very capable. He's got great feet, pace and skill. Very impressed with him.

Scotland exit in the group stages as per, what a shame. Gu and laik ya bagpipes. Si thi.

    Dull boring pedestrian.
Stiff ….. playing safe - little bravery.
We AGAIN have the players to rip this tournament apart ……. but until we dump this wet dish clart of a manager then we will struggle.

A decent performance against a good Czech Republic team that were difficult to break down.
Lost control a little in the second half but let’s not under estimate the opposition.
Due to Covid restrictions Southgate may well have dropped luckily on his best starting eleven with possible little tweaking.
Young Saka and Jack G dull boring and pedestrian I think not.

I didn’t see the game that way.
I’m not the biggest fan of Southgate but I’ve tried put today’s game into perspective.
I didn’t find it dull, boring or pedestrian.
Build from the back, 3 games conceded, ZERO.

    Clean sheets are KING lol.

Even Lee Dixon was saying they were not moving forward quickly enough - they were continually playing the safe ball - often going sideways.
As much as I like Stones - I think he only played the ball forward twice.
This slow pace game is not the English game.
These boring tactics can only be laid at the door of the boring manager.
We have players in the squad that need to let off the leash
