Sheffield Wednesday Players Get Their Salaries

Been reported Sheffield Wednesday players have been paid their outstanding
salaries, after the owner Chansiri paid them.
But the club remains under a transfer embargo.

I hope they asked for interest and repayment of any bank charges they might have incurred

Last I read, players under contract have all received their back pay but those out of contract (as of 30 June) have not been paid in full.

mmmmm.....their accounting year wouldn't be 30 June by any chance would it?!
Don't pay salaries before then as it will take them over the FFP for the year. New financial year, and oh, they are suddenly now paid up.
Maybe it isn't like that, but yo wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Interesting theory Squirty. Now I'm no accountant but surely the salaries would have to be listed as a liability whether paid or not?

Should be listed as outstanding debts

I think we all know what should be listed and how it should be presented but football is a different industry and some clubs have their own way of presenting the information (accounts). Just look at Derby.
