EFL division two club Barrow had planned to go to cashless payments, but after
concerns over this, the club has made a statement.
Barrow have apologised to supporters over concerns, about a recent announcement
of the move to cashless payments next season.
The proposal was discussed & agreed by all board members & shared in advance
with the supporters trust, they acknowledge that they should have involved
supporters to get their input.
After discussions it was agreed cash will be accepted in the refreshment kiosks &
around the ground on match days. Also taking cash at the club shop & ticket office
during normal business hours.
The club still plans to use cashless on match days, including the club shop, going
forward they plan to assess supporter feedback, on the change accordingly
during the new season.
Summary -
May be a good thing, will make it better in reducing queues at the refreshment kiosks
on match days, with not waiting for change, if using cash.
Or have a card only queue?
I'll have to get one of them contactless machines they are showing on television,
I could sell my mince pies on match day.![]()
