Gillingham Sell Out of Date Beer

Gillingham played Millwall in a pre-season friendly this week, the game ended 1-1
But what was talked about was, Gillingham selling out of date beer at £2 a pint.
There was 2,000 fans at the game, the beer sold to both sets of fans.
there was a big notice at the kiosks.

    Out of Date Alcohol
    Discounted Price
    .......£2.00..........

Response from some fans, thought a good idea.
One quip from a Gillingham fan on social media next day, after the game.

Can we all take a minute for all the Millwall fans, that are currently on the
bog today, from drinking £2 out of date beer, heart goes out to you all.

Good idea or what, always remember when stones bitter was off, a sour
    smell from it.
White van man from Rotherham used to deliver beer on a Saturday morning,
a week left on date, a certain pub pub used drop beer 25 pence a pint
on a Monday, got delivery of cheap beer Saturday, sold it on the Monday.

    Neither do I Eric.
I wouldn't pay for out of date ale if it was £1 a pint.

Liked Wards beer in White Lion near Masborough railway station, good pint in there.

Also went in Catholic club near Millmoor

Also Station pub across from Masborough railway station, when Ruth had it.

Went in Prince of Wales once, beer like canal watta, never supped canal watta, just a description.

Steve Evans is their manager. Wonder if his pink champagne is still in date.

Really liked Wards when it was on the go. Played a lot of pool in Sheffield in the late 80’s early 90’s with a good mate and all we supped was Wards.

It stunk as you drunk it and boy did it stink the next morning when you dropped one. Especially when riding the cage going underground 🤣🤣 I wasn’t very popular when I dropped one.
