Accrington Stanley Fined £7,000 for Covid-19 Outbreak.

Accrington Stanley have been fined £7,000 for covid-19 outbreak, the £7,000
fine by the EFL, was after the club having 4 games called off in October last season.

The reds had 19 players & management testing positive for covid-19, & had to
isolate for the required period, following public health England & EFL's covid-19
    protocols.
The fine will be taken out of the money, distributed to clubs every season.

Owner of Accrington Stanley Andy Holt commented, the club is battling to keep
afloat, like many owners, we had little income & no fans, & the EFL thought
it was fit & proper, to fine the club, its hard to take.

My Summary - Just can not understand the logic of the EFL, in fining a team who
have just kept their heads above water, like other clubs this last season.
Where clubs such has Derby County, Sheffiled Wednesday , Reading just to name
a few have just got their wrists tapped, for worse breaking of the rules.

They should not pay this on the grounds that "bigger clubs" carry on breaking all the rules and receive a slap on the wrist. It's an outrage!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately it doesn't look like that's an option as it's being deducted from their 'pocket money'

Just read that Peter Ridsdale is now on the EFL board !

Not the greatest of track records at Club level (as I re-call)

Indeed but I wish this could be legally challenged as they are being fined for abiding by the law and not putting lives at risk. What right does the efl have to fine members for this? They seem to be saying they should have broken the law and put lives at risk. I would like to see their right to insist on this to be challenged in court.

Ridsdale is not welcome at Leeds, after all the overspend at that club under his watch, which started their downfall. They hate his guts.

Absolutely optimises everything that's wrong with the administration of football in this country these day's

Are these clubs still receiving "the money distributed to clubs every season"
    Completely Outrageous if so.

That good proper clubs can be hammered and these so called "big clubs" seem to be relatively protected.

This story has genuinely really annoyed me.

About the same but the threat of having points deducted soon brought us in line :blue!

We played Barnsley with a reduced side then went on a decent run until Covid hit again if memory serves Lol
