Taxi for big val / mowatt back to oakwell please

Glad they’re doing the business at your gaff

We went back to the dark age of tippy tappy crap

70% we lost 1-0 - Luton obv 30% and played the way we did last year
35% possession and you win 4-0

What does that tell you about possession football

The thing is you will have spent 80% of the game in their half and the possession in the right parts of the pitch

At least on iFollow I could’ve cut in around the ceiling at half time with the paint brush

No chance Renno! Mowatt covers every blade of grass and love him! Love the new style of play from Val and the passion and energy he has from the touch line. Val has instilled a desire in the players and a new ethos - run run run and keep pressing!

Love the entertainment and long may it continue!

Another point regarding Albion under Ismael is the fact that they play with smiles on their faces. I understand that players are going to be in a good place when winning but it appears that they are fully behind his system and actually enjoy what they are doing. Long may it continue.

The possession stats seemed weird to me to be honest. Totally agree that they don't mean anything anyway. The game looked like we had 80%.

    worth a try.

I would normally pay the taxi fares of ex players and managers to whichever destination they fancied (even airfares in some cases in years gone by), or time permitting, drive them there myself.

I would happily pick these 2 up.

Big Val got unfancied young players to march to the beat of his drum, if he can do this with better seasoned and quality players then I think he will establish you in the PL.

He never changes shape with subs either and for me its a genuine 3-4-3 to the point of 3-2-5 when attacking

A couple of things from our game the other night (this might just be me aswell!), but Brittain ducked challenges pretty much all night and Helik wasnt himself - over the years as a reds' fan that generally means theyve had their head turned and I think it will be in your direction!

I thought the possesion stats seemed about right. In the first half, their keeper and defenders seemed to have the ball a lot in their defensive 3rd. And in the last 20/25 minutes our intensity dropped a bit when we had the game won and they saw a lot of the ball without hurting us.

Renno - we seem to be linked with Dike. Did you rate him at Barnsley last season as Val seems too?

He was top drawer for us and for me is premier league quality. he was also a grafter and did the dirty parts of the game. If you look at the goal he scored against Birmingham - he has the ability to score from nothing

    He’s 25 - 30 a season at this level

Yeah but are we in danger of over rating Daryl Dike a bit, who has had one good half a season for us, and the transfer money being suggested for him now is absolutely pathetic.
I hope he does go onto make it like we all thought and hoped he would last season, but for the time being surely the Champship is his best level.
