    State Pension

Can’t see why some of our staff are obsessed with their NI Stamp Contributions and catching up on any missed.

If your lucky still to be alive at 67 now you may get a whopping £180 a week if you have a full pension. Only looked at it as a lazy t wat I know has not worked that much and not paid any contributions but still gets the basic state pension of £138 per week.

So on that basis the £42 extra between the two will buy you fish and chips and a decent bottle of wine each week! So don’t get the stress - I know one lady who is very comfortable money wise but working part time to catch up on her missing contributions! FFS!!! Why as she’s minted the daft cow!

I thought stupidly contributions would be calculated on what you have paid into the system - ha ha. So you could have worked your bollox off for years - no days off sick - had really good salaries but you would be no better off than someone who sweeps the roads.

    Life sucks!

The thing that bugs me Al is that I worked my whole life but I get a reduced State Pension because I was prudent and paid into a company pension scheme which was a contracted out scheme. Anyone who had been unemployed their whole life but still getting NI credits has ended up with a bigger State Pension than me!

Couldn’t agree more! The lazy t wat I know did not even get credits all his working or non working life - he worked about 11 years paying credits then nothing. Joke between basic and full!

This new system where employers are legally bound to match contributions their staff want to make into the NEST scheme are ridiculous.

I don’t have a single member of staff putting money into NEST.

I explain to them that they can have better wages now or they can have lower wages and be in NEST.......it’s up to them.

If all staff decides to put most of their wages into NEST it can absolutely wreck a business.

    Another stupid government imposed scheme.

I receive more than £180 per week State Pension. I paid in for 46 years and retired at 63. Lived off works pension and some savings for two years before I received the SP at 65. I am more than happy with what I receive from the State Pension.
