    The remaining transfer window.

After last night's performance it's obvious that we need more strength in depth in the squad. Don't get me wrong, the young lads did their best against a virtual Premiership first eleven but it was basically a mismatch. However, we are going to get injuries and suspensions during the course of the season and from what I saw last night, with the possible exception of Castro, the youngsters aren't ready yet. As I said in another thread, Reach and Snodgrass will do a job but that's about it. To my mind we need three or four extra players to make the squad strong enough for a long, hard season. Surely the board realise this and that stupid owner that we have should also realise that if he wants a buyer for the club then he will get a bigger return if we are a Premiership club.

The lad Castro looks like another Harper to me, abundant skills but paceless. I hope he proves me wrong.

I think Castro also showed some good physical presence - some good tackles early on in the game.

Way I see it we need a minimum of 4 players to come in now 2 midfielders with engines (Yokuslu +) a centre back with pace and a versatile full back. That’s the absolute minimum I actually think we need 6! Our best 11 can do the job but they won’t last the pace of the championship and the high tempo style of play.. COYB and FOL

    Castro is nowhere near ready.
    80% showboat
    20% team player
That’s a big no from me for the first team till he matures enough.

E & S reporting “Boss Valerien Ismael admits Albion’s hopes of further signings before Tuesday’s transfer deadline rests on moving players out”
    F F sake,
Lai is unashamedly winding us down
Most of the big money earners have now gone like Gibbs, Austin, Hegazi as well as every other player who was not a regular on matchday.
We are still 5 players down from last season and now this statement
Zero spend on transfers so far
I was optimistic about us this season but with this this news I am actually concerned we will fade away just like Leeds did the other season.

I read the same report. It's an absolute disgrace. Lai has obviously pocketed all of the money that Albion have received. There has to be a concerted effort to rid us of this 'scum bag'.

We are in the **** if it’s true we have to sell to buy! We have the thinnest squad since Megson took over!
Think the protests need to ramp up sharpish!
