In spite of a morale boosting EFL Cup victory at Newcastle in midweek, I can only approach writing this latest set of match notes with a deepening sense of foreboding. Turf Moor is most certainly not our “Happy Place”. Five successive home PL defeats tells its own story and it makes grim reading. Undue pessimism BT, of course we have a chance, those disinterested observers of the football scene, the bookies, are pricing us up at around 9/4, giving us a 30% chance of winning the game. I watched the highlights of the cup match Outwood and there was nothing morale boosting about it.We were worse in every stat against Newcastle.1 shot on target in a cup match?
