    Forest Green pre match

Saturday will be key to see what we are like against a top team, and how willing / capable Mr Beech is to make changes to team , formation and tactics.

    Or....

    Jensen

    Mellor Whelan Dinzeyi Armer

    Gibson Clough Riley Charters

    Young Fishburn

    Spoiled for choice.

Although Guy, Mellish, Dickenson, Norma & McDonald will be shoe-ins and we'll be staring defeat in the face, again.

I might even play Feeney at left back, or consider dropping Whelan.

My conclusion - we actually don't have a bad squad...

For me Fishburn is not ready to be on from the start. We need speed at the back.

Mellish; we need Clough to feed the ball to Toure and Gibson

    So something like this?

    Jensen

    Riley Feeney Dinzeyi Armer

    Clough Guy

    Gibson Mellish Toure

    Young

    4-2-3-1?

    Or more 4-2-1-3?

    Jensen

    Riley Feeney Dinzeyi Armer

    Clough Guy

    Mellish

    Gibson Young Toure

If Mellish plays Beech will rely on hoofball tactics again.

His entire system is built around Mellish picking up scraps.

Drop Mellish and there will be no-one left in the team that is suited to that type of football.

So, for me, the secret to getting the team playing decent football is to drop Mellish.
