Thread: Netflix-The Squid Game

    Netflix-The Squid Game

Just watched the 1st episode and. I love a story about a dystopian future and this certainly is that. No idea where it's going to go but I'm up for finding out.

    Anyone else watching/watched?

This is on my list to watch, but bit hesitant as I hate when the voiceovers are done over the original language.

Anyone know when the next peaky blinders are out? wtf going there.

It's a very dark tale but when a Korean speaks with an American accent for me it does become almost comic and does somewhat spoil the effect.

A good mate of mine has just watched it and said it was absolute bilge and several hours of his life that he couldn’t get back.

We usually like the same stuff so I’ll be giving this one a miss I think.

Seas piracy is a very good watch in my opinion, a real expose on the fish/food industry and the way it’s wrecking the eco system for fishing.

SPOILER - I watched squid where the games themselves were quite good but a lot of the time the series was plodding and pedestrian and dont get me started on the final episode it was in fact rather shyte- time I will never get back

Last I heard filming all wrapped up but Peakys probably won't be shown until early next year. Last series too so hope it lives up to expectations. IMHO the second series was by far the best but enjoyed all the Alfie/Tommy conversations. The last one , when Tommy visits him at his seaside retreat after he's been shot is classic and, apparently much of the dialogue was adlibbed by both actors with Tom Hardy only having read the script as he drove up just prior to filming. Here's hoping he makes a cameo at least in series 6! So sad to have lost Helen McCrory at such a young age and her character will be missed

I'm still watching. Don't love it but I am intrigued.
