After today’s news he’s immediately gone onto my death pool shortlist for next year. There must be a reason for him doing it other than the publicity.

I’m not a fan of space tourism; leave it to the experts. And how much crap did shoving that phallic rocket up there for 10 minutes put out? And yet I’m told that I can’t buy a new petrol car in 9 years time?

Why are you worried about not being able to buy a new car in 9 years time Griff,it was always going to happen one day because fossilized fuel isn't unending and I'm surprised that it's lasted as long as it has tbh,in ten years time advances in battery technology etc will make buying a new electric car more appealing and just because you can't buy a new petrol engined car then you will still be able to rough it with a year old one, enjoy your life Griffy, you are thinking about stuff that might not even concern you in 2031,enjoy the company of Mrs Griff and that beautiful countryside that surrounds you

I’d be quite happy with an electric car right now, Chalky. I was just pointing out that with all the criticism of fossil fuels which I get, and the efforts made by most of us to combat the negative effect of coal and petroleum products, a mahoosive great rocket has just burned up the fuel equivalent of several dozen long-range aircraft. We’re all told to take fewer flights but it doesn’t seem to apply to those rich enough to pay Bezos or Branson a few million quid.

Big boys toys I suppose Griff,if you've got the money then it can be done but I can see what you are saying, anyway it won't run until I'm long gone so I don't bother with things like that,I wouldn't mind having a quick glimpse into 100 years from now and see what's being used instead of electric batteries in transportation,it's all evolution
