    Ajayi

He has undoubted talent, but similarly to Bartley, makes the occasional dire mistake. (To be fair as have Furlong and Townsend !) However, I believe his recent form is worthy of some praise.
The last few matches he has developed considerably and now provides an attacking threat. He has demonstrated that he has the ball skills to dribble the ball, display pace when necessary and not afraid to get into the box. Good on you AJ.
    Long may it continue.

He’s no John Wile, Ally Robertson or Martyn Bennett.

    That’s how I judge a centre half.

Yes I agree to some extent in fact he was one of players who did quite well last Year.

BUT and there is a big but, overall we are judging him on his teammates, the squad we have now.
If we go back for the last 20 Years where would he be ranked in a table of central defenders who were the mainstay of the team. I’m not including duds like that Legano fella who fell apart against Villa but regulars.
For example Gmac, Ollson, Evans, Hegazi, Dawson, Scharner, Clement, Gardsoe, etc

I’d rank him no better than Mete or Barnett and in Sir Gary’s reign Butler and Carbon.
He does possess decent pace but he needs it as he’s sleeping so often

If he could somehow improve his concentration there is a player in there. I do like his attitude however as was seen at Pborough when he bust a gut to get into the box to score. Something our forwards did not do all night I add.

Sadly I would probably take Stacey North ahead of him!

All valid comments and AJ does indeed not compare with some of the names mentioned. Notwithstanding, he is the best we have and demonstrates some potential, particularly recently.
If some of the press comments are to be believed (!) Val is looking at an experienced defender. Let’s hope so !

Why did we sign Bryan then?

The bloke can’t get a kick yet I thought he was highly rated when at Sheffield United?

The signing has made no sense so far?

Bryan was brought in when both O'Shea and Clarke were out injured. Now that Clarke is back he is there as cover for injuries or suspensions as O'Shea will still be out for some time.

His passing has been awful putting the ball out so many times his pace gets him out of trouble quite a lot no where near as good as Clarke, I guess it's all about opinions.

Ajayi shocking again today Prando and sooner we get shot of this clown the better! It’s embarrassing not getting in a tackle and fouling every time in a dangerous position!
