    Mcpake/yanks

Don't know if there's any direct quotes in DCT article saying Mcpake is safe....I genuinely hope there isn't.

But what exactly are the yanks now up to?

There's no money to be made owning DFC, the stadium has almost zero chance of going ahead....why are they still here?

Obviously results on the park don't matter.

It's pretty obvious that they don't care much for the fans and have little concept of how results like last night's damage a club.

I know I bang on about the smaller things but we are so badly run almost as bad as anything in the past but the yanks are still paying the bills.....why?

An expensive playing or are they gonna up sticks and leave soon?

I honestly have no idea why they are bothering or even if they are.

I asked the same question coming out of Dens last night, apart from a highly paid job for his mate, what do they get out of running our club, what is there end aim, stadium not happening, so why do they keep pumping money in to us and accepting mediocrity

Obviously they own the club, they may plan to break even in the spl? I've no idea but where do we go without them?
Dan owned? Would only work with help fae John Bennett regarding buying dens but might be our only option in the near future.

But why does someone with very little of no interest in football want to own a Scottish club to break even......there's no point to it.

Waiting on a stadium that's imho never going to happen (and wont be the answer to dfcs ills) is keeping the club in some sorta limbo trance like state.....just surviving....with them paying the bills.....at the moment.

    I just see trouble ahead.

No communication whatsoever is an absolute dire state of affairs.

You could sense patience completely snapping among the fans last night.

I'll go further and say Nelms treats the fans with contempt with the sponsored silences.

It was recently stated that the 1893 Foundation raised £125k in their first 12 months in operation.
I am sure that a lot more could be raised if it was stated that in future all the money raised by the 1893 Foundation will be used to buy back Dens Park from John Bennett.
It has previously been reported that John Bennett was happy to sell Dens Park for a rumoured sum of £850k. Deeranged might correct me regarding this amount and give us the correct amount.
7years at £125k per annum would raise £875k but it is likely that there are a lot of Dundee supporters who are not members of the 1893 Foundation who would happily contribute to a buy back of Dens Park fund raising scheme.

I think we missed a trick, foundation should have been started when Bennet took over Dens on the basis of buying it back from him, it would have been bought by now and possibly near to the annoy the need for a new stand, I’m in the foundation but I’d double my payments if it went to something like this, I believe we’ve wasted these years

I wud imagine most wud pay more and others wud join, we can't go back tho but certainly something to go for in the future. Maybe time to question those in charge, the owners have put a lot of cash in and deserve credit but it's not working.
In my opinion we need to sort the ground out once and for all, downscale our spending and get fans totally on board and I don't mean the blazer chasers.

Why have 2 Holywood actors taken over Wrexham?
Some mental decisions in fitba but I rek our owners obviously never expected to prop up the club with as much cash as they have and probably don't have a plan b.

I enclose details of the Dee4life Trust board of directors meeting which was held on 9th July 2020. https://www.dee4life.com/files/15986...te09.07.20.pdf
I suggest that posters pay particular attention to Item 2 Secretary’s Report which explains the original plan for the operation of the 1893 Foundation which sadly the Club kept for themselves.
I am not a member of the 1893 Foundation as I believe that the money like other football clubs who operate a similar scheme should be earmarked for the team manager’s playing budget.
The money donated to the 1893 Foundation goes directly into the Dundee Football Club bank account and it could be spent on anything such as John Nelms’s latest trip to the States.
However I would be happy to donate a monthly direct debit payment to a fund raising scheme to buy back Dens Park from John Bennett.
