    Do the next 2 results

Matter for the future of Mcpake?

Defeat in Paisley and thumping at home to tic end it?

Win in Paisley, narrow defeat to tic......does that give him January window?

No matter he's here to the death?

I'll never want Dundee to lose but amputating you're big toe to save yer leg springs to mind.

    I'll go 1-1 draw.

No. Think the only way he will leave will be if he and Nelms disagree. Maybe McPake is stronger than appears at present. There will be some pressure on John Nelms and if McPake actually tries to address the Club’s weaknesses now we might see signs that Nelms will back him. There is the difficulty for him that he has accumulated quite a number of very poor results, where the players seem to fold.

I suspect that Tim Keyes will decide when McPake leaves as he controls the purse strings.
The current situation is similar to the one with Paul Hartley and Cardiff City. Hartley was doing well at Dens when his name appeared in the frame for the Cardiff City new manager’s job which he did not get. After that things went steadily downhill as far as Dundee FC results were concerned.
A couple of months ago James McPake was also in the frame as the next manager of MK Dons which never happened.
Since then apart from a win against Aberdeen and a draw last Saturday against Hearts things have also gone steadily downhill culminating in a 5-0 drubbing at home from Ross County last Wednesday evening.
