    On this day in 1964

    Crossroads was Ist aired.
When I was a 16 year apprentice, I changed a telephone to the new Trim phone, which had just come out, at Noel Gordans ( Meg Richardson) flat in Handsworth wood .

I visited Noel Gordons grave in Hay 0n Wye - Shughie McFee was in the Great Escape wtf was he doing in Crossroads? One of the great mysteries! Amy Turtle never remembered her lines when Crossroads was broadcast live, who as a surname Turtle anyway? Even bigger mystery was that Paul McCartney was a huge fan and even composed the closing theme, amazing!

Soulman, did you meet her? I heard she wasn't very nice?

Hi we met her and she made us a cup of tea, think this was down to her mom who lived in the flat below.
Before we did Noel's telephone, we put a trimphone in her mom's.
Who got me to change some lightbulbs for her. When we got to Noel's, her mom had rang her and told her that we had been helpful to her.
Noel's flat had the biggest shag pile carpet I'd ever seen.
I drove past these Flats, the other week when Forge lane was blocked and they look right dumps now.
