    Too many major problems.

In my humble opinion, we have problems on quite a few fronts and that our poor performances are down to these many issues. Obviously our biggest problem is Lai and we have to be rid as soon as is humanly possible. Our Chief Executive knows absolutely nothing about football which doesn't really help either

Ismael has to also shoulder some of the blame. I fully understand that he has had no financial backing but I do not believe that our squad is as as bad as some make out. Some of his tactics are questionable, as are some of his selections. For instance, I don't understand why Mulumby doesn't get more game time. Also, to say that our captain is undropable, to my mind, is a ridiculous statement.

Our recruitment and spotting of players is poor. We obviously need an out and out striker, probably two, who know where the back of the net is. Hugill and Zohore are appalling. It's all very well saying that we haven't got the money but we had it to spend on Zohore and Grant. I'm not saying that Grant isn't a decent player as I think that he is, but he's not an out and striker which is what we were desperate for. There are also some players with ability who are not performing at the level that they are capable of e.g. Diangana. Bartley hasn't shown the assurance that he did last season.

Others may differ and give other reasons but I think that these are the major problems that are resulting in the poor performances. It will be extremely difficult to catch either Fulham or Bournemouth and if we are not careful the play-offs will not be a 'give me' either.

I try and look at things cold after the emotion has died down, on paper we are third, based on squad sizes and wages this is probably where we should be, hence should we really be throwing our toys out of the pram just yet?
I would love us to have an owner with the clubs best interests at heart and for me until Lai goes we will struggle to get promoted and stay up, recruitment for me this season actually hasn’t been that bad when you look at the money spent (peanuts), however we need some significant strengthening and a goal scorer if we are going to have a chance at winning the playoffs. Re Val, despite what some are saying on here I do think the players are putting a shift in, we are starting to play a little more possession based football and some of the midfield play over the last few games has been improved, however we are completely toothless and I do believe Val is culpable here, take Robinson as an example he is on fire for Ireland yet has completely lost his way playing for Val, similarly Diangana who had a great championship season under Bilic, so do I think Val should go now, I’m on the fence but either way he does need backing in January as clearly it’s all about building for the playoffs..
Everyone has an opinion and to be honest I expected this season to be one of ups and downs, we started well and some on here who were lauding Val as the new messiah are now calling for his head and want to boycott the club all-together, ultimately it’s my club and regardless of what division we are, what tyrant of an owner we are stuck with in I will still be there, it’s in the blood.

I do like having a manager who lays his his colours to the mast and says “this is how we’re going to play”. You then whittle down who doesn’t fit and replace them over time and you get a bloody good team and system as a result. The best managers do this.

I had no idea what Bilic was ever trying to achieve. We needed a striker, he bought Grant, why? What type of striker did he think we needed then and why did he agree to buy Grant at that time. No different to big dave, it all made no sense. We have a blueprint now which is good.

I worry about how far away we are from what Val needs to get this all to work. We definitely need a striker which is usually expensive. Our defence isn’t terrible but it’s also not fully suitable to the style. The front 3 don’t really inspire and we need a cm who can play the ball.

I fear it’ll take some time and investment to get this to work and Val probably has neither.
