    The other potential promotion .............

............. candidates are struggling as badly as we are, if not worse. Fulham's defeat last night means that they haven't won in their last five matches. Bournemouth are just as bad. The only side showing any consistency are Blackburn. We are now only four points off top spot. If we get our act together in the January transfer window there's nothing to stop us from going up - that's as long we try to play some football along the way.

Agree. But depends on Lai putting his hand in his pocket .... something he’s not done this season. Not even spent any of the Pereira money let alone the parachute money. Plus we offloaded some big wage earners last summer. Spending on a new striker and creative midfielder would make a big difference to our chances .... but I’ll believe when I see it with Lai. Hope I’m proved wrong.

Wow, didn’t realise the result till you posted. One of the Bournemouth players was bragging that Bournemouth and Fulham are “setting the standards” in this league. What rubbish! The season is only half way and as we speak it’s Blackburn who are setting the standard. We are doing ok. Not setting the league alight but we are pretty solid with 11 clean sheets. It’s true if we had a decent proper number 9 things would be even better. Let’s hope that happens.

And a decent midfielder like Okay so Livermore does one. El Capitano is not mobile - can't pass - hits the ball to McDonalds in the Birmingham Road and mistimes almost every tackle. The engine room is ***** to feed a good striker so that should be a priority too!

Yes a striker as we haven't had one since Gayle went back to Newcastle!
