    Early window buys

There's one good thing to say about this, that is apart from the incoming better quality players having more time to bed in with the squad, and that is early replacements give E.H. time to move out a bit of the dross, and the more the better.

That's a good point. I've just been focusing on who we might get in. Clark, Lascelles, Ritchie, Murphy, Hayden, Shelvey, Hendrick, Gayle, Manquillo...all need to go. Let's be honest here, they're all basically Chimpo players. I would have said Krafth but maybe Howe can do something with him because he was very good against Man U. Ditto Lewis.

That track list is too long to act on. We can't offload 9 because we won't and shouldn't buy 9. There are also destabilising risks of getting so many new players at once in a period as short as January.

They're dross. But wouldn't sell Ritchie or Murphy right now.

They have their uses as utility players and remember COVID is breaking down squads in an unpredictable way week on week. I was going to argue to keep Shelvey but he is always one tackle away from a red...so he can fu'ck off.

IMHO 3-in minimum, 5-in would be ideal and the same going out. If we get 9-in, not sure we should be blowing our load in January and then be unable to shop enough in Summer.

I would agree 5/6 in 5/6 out is a good balance for this window.

Clark, Hendrick, Gayle would be the three players I'd be trying to offload. I think others mentioned would be a good level of player to have on our bench for the time being and that's something we've been crying out for. A bench what we can look at and actually think a few of these could change the game if we need them. I think Manquillo has done a good job for us especially when we all thought he was going to be absolutely terrible. Definitely think he should be our backup RB for now.

    Agree with this Jacko.

We should still be able to get something for the mentioned 3 but quite frankly, I'd let them go on a free as long as we had the replacements in.

Of those mentioned above the two that really need to go are Hendrick and Gayle. Hendrick has had one good game for us since arriving (his first one) and done nowt since.
Gayle has also had ample opportunity to claim a place in the first team. I mean there was only big Joe to compete against for the second striker spot FFS!
Gayle is the definition of a Championship player. Good at that level, simply not good enough for the Premiership.

I think Gayle has lost his love for football to a degree, I'd of expected him to be pushing for a move away even just on loan but he hasn't, content to stay at toon and pick up pay.
