    Sidney Poitier - Dead

This guy has just died but what a superb actor! One of my favourites was To Sir With Love and he was brilliant in this!

All the old classics were better than the rubbish on now!

In The Heat of the Night and Guess who's coming to dinner are fantastic films.

Given his age I guess not too much of a surprise, but another one of the greats passes. Like others, In The Heat of the Night is one of my favourite films of all time but was great in so many films from A Raisin in the Sun onwards. One word I always think applied to him would be "dignity". RIP.

Just learnt of Peter Bogdanovich's death too. Probably remembered mostly for his classic film The Last Picture Show but I always liked Mask with Cher, Sam Elliot and Eric Schultz . Showed that Cher could act too.

And so the losses of 2022 begin..

I would have had Sidney on my dead by the end of the year list had I submitted one. Well, if I'd have realised he was still alive that is.

I'm led to believe you can get arrested and sent to jail for making posthumous entries so I'll resist the temptation.

But I digress. Wonderful actor and a lovely chap too. RIP Sidney Poitier, legend.
