There is football outside of the Premier league

Despite what the big tv companies try to portray, especially Sky, football does exist outside of the Premier league.

I read today that so far this season the average gates at Wrexham in the National league are more than 8,000, Stockport County and Notts County average over 6,000 and Chesterfield and Grimsby average just below the 6,000.

Given what tv and press exposure they get it just shows, as many on here have highlighted, that local community clubs do offer a product that is still appreciated. The FA need to make sure that more of the tv rights money are filtered away from the top clubs in the PL so that the clubs further down the pyramid can flourish and keep the game alive across the country, not just for the tv viewers in the four corners of the world.

Also why when the 3rd round of the FA cup is the main event last weekend, and potentially upsets are the main stories, do tv channels play all Premier league games live. No one got the main stories and we had PL sides again filling our screens as we do week in week out.

Spot on, they ignored the non league teams last weekend and missed out, they will be on the bandwagon for the next round tho, I am sure they will now show Kiddy v Wet Spam.

Lower league football is better anyway - more entertaining and clubs really value their supporters!
