    Saturday results

The other teams in the league are doing their best to keep Motherwell in fourth place.

Another good Saturday without kicking a ball.

    Dundee 1 Ross County 2
    Hibs 0 St Mirren 1
    Livingston 2 Aberdeen 1
St Johnstone 0 Dundee Utd 0

And at the same time at least 6 teams are now in a position to legitimately compete for the 3 top 6 slots that are open.
Don’t think we have much confidence from recent results to think we can cling on to that without a massive change.

At the end of the day it is what we do on the pitch that will determine where we finish in the league. A few weeks ago everyone said Ross County were involved in a relegation dogfight, now through hard work and team spirit they sit only 4 points off of 4th place, with the reverse applicable to ourselves 4 points clear of 10th. We have no fixtures coming up where you can say we are certain to take three points. My main worry is that our manager and players begin to think that a point in each game will not be a bad thing and try to achieve that objective from the first whistle by becoming very defensive minded.
