Red Cards & Appealing the Cards

Someone mentioned what the procedure was if a club lost a straight red card
    appeal for a player.
    Current rules -
A straight red card dismissal gets the player a one match ban.

If the players club appeal the red card decision, & loses the appeal, an additional
two game suspension is added, so therefore the ban for the player is for 3 games.

If the player has already been sent off after receiving a red card in the same season,
an additional one game ban is added, so the ban would be for 4 games.

This has happened to Bournemouth midfielder Jefferson Lerma, this week, after he
he received a straight red on Wednesday 9th February 2022.

The player was due to serve a one game ban for the offence.

The club appealed the red card & lost the appeal, so has to the F.A.'s ruling on appeals
an additional 2 game suspension was added.
So the ban becomes a three game ban for the player.

But the red card was Lerma's second red card of the season, after being sent off against
    Coventry City in November 2021.
Therefore due to F.A. protocol an additional one game ban is added.

Therefore Lerma's ban is for four games.

Jefferson Lerma booked 5 times this season, but the player started the season with a
6 match ban, for a biting offence, carried over from the 2020-21 season.
