    The Stats

1 win in last 9 in all competitions conceding 21 goals in the process, does this sound like a club improving ? Does this sound like a club that has any chance of staying up ? Does this sound like a club in need of a new manager ?

The recruitment again from Dave has been poor, the formations bizarre, constant changing of players each week replacing crap with more crap do we have any decent players at Crewe at present ?

The fans have turned on Dave and that will only end up with one outcome and I also understand they have turned on the team as well after yet another abject performance, the board have to understand that the team is there to entertain and we are in a results based business, Dave is failing at absolutely every level there is nothing you can say he’s is any good at, if it was not for a board with absolutely zero ambition he would have been gone months ago as anybody with even half a functioning cell could see that he is woefully out of his depth. Actually I have just remembered something he is good at talking crap at every press conference he attends.

I am not embarrassed to keep hammering this home the board have no choice other than to get rid.

    You should be embarrassed!
I was agreeing with you until the valid points ended and the simplistic shouts of crap, crap, crap etc started. You were making sense but then reverted to abuse. We all feel angry about recent performances. None of us like it. But some would prefer reasoned discussion. That is not a prompt for more abuse.
Some people who feel rage after a football match go home and kick the cat or dog. Others work through their anger with introspection and analysis.
    Which type are you?

Wartman, so what can be done to address everybody's concern and not just yours?

    1. Sack DA and KL and how much would that cost? Over a 100K probably.

    2. Bring in a new management team, from where exactly? Reaseheath? Or are you suggesting a 'proven' management team from where exactly and how much would they cost the club?

    3. What new players could be brought in as the window has now closed and so any new management team would need to deal with the current squad and could they improve things or not?

    4. The two GK seem to be a problem and so we sack them both and bring in another one/two at what cost as they need to be experienced and proven don't you think?

    5. DA and the BoD had no option but to allow players to leave as they wanted out and seemingly some are refusing to sign extensions to contracts and so what can be done there?

    6. The ethos of the club is the academy and as agents are present at academy matches who can stop them whispering in ears about big sign on fees if they don't sign extensions? Who's fault is that?

Maybe the whole system of the academy needs to be looked at as many clubs like Accrington just as an example don't have one and their gates are half of ours and I heard how big their team is and how we can't handle set pieces as a result as they can sign 'big/tall' players while we wait ten years in watching how the youngsters develop at a very high cost obviously. But that is more longer term for the BoD..

So what do YOU suggest is the best option now?

    Hi Mike

I will try to answer some of your questions above

1 & 2 yes I would sack the management team rather than throw money continually at what is obviously a lost cause, and I hope that BOD have learnt their lesson and never recruit a manager from Reaseheath again as they do not have the knowledge/experience required to manage in the football league.

3 &4 New players at this time is difficult as you rightly point out the window has closed, but the exposes the utter failure of the board to act at the right moment when somebody could be brought in with time to recruit. All that would be available is unattached players and they are unattached usually for a reason. As to the goalkeeper’s get rid of Fred Barber and get a new coach in to eke out the improvement and ability that both of our current keepers are capable of.

5 Why all of a sudden do players want to leave is the question I want to ask what has changed at Crewe to make players all of a sudden decide they want out ?

6 And as to the academy a big fat yes that it has to be downgraded we clearly cannot afford it at its current level as it stymies reasonable investment in the first team to make it competitive at league 1 level, I also worry that the standard of players coming out of the academy is not as it once was which possibly suggests poorer coaches. Ie Fred Barber etc etc.
