So Fed Up Of Dogs And Idiot Owners.

For the third time in a week I’ve been attacked by a dog whilst out jogging.

This time by a huge Alsatian without a muzzle.

This fat lowlife was walking two dogs along the main road and so as not to inconvenience her or make her have to stand in the grass verge I ran on the opposite side of the centre line risking the traffic to her life easier.

This beast then lunges 7 or 8 feet to take a chunk out of me FFS.

To make it worse there wasn’t the merest hint of an apology from the owner.

To top it off, twisting to get away I’ve aggravated my cruciate ligament injury.

I don’t understand the mentality of a large number of dog owners, most dogs cannot be trusted 100% and wearing a muzzle should by compulsory.

I wish owners would have more respect for others.

You weren’t complaining of dogs in the 80’s when you were riding them🤣

It's a proven fact that dog's only go for joggers if joggers are there.😂😂😂
Slow down old pal you are 60 not 16. Your date of death is already ordained no matter what you do.
Albion fan's shouldn't be seen running anyway.

Seriously Mick you are right, there are a lot of inconsiderate owners and it's the dog's that get the blame.

Only this afternoon I was walking my daughters dog (on a lead) when about 30 yards in front of me coming towards me was a guy with two what I can only describe as pitbulls. I crossed over the road to avoid passing close by and these two dogs went absolutely beserk trying to get across the road to my dog. It was all the bloke could do to hold them back. As I was about to turn the corner I looked back and saw them switch attention to an Alsatian dog (Muzzled) and on a lead. These two dogs would have torn the pair of us apart. The strength of them was unbelievable. I thought those bloody things were supposed to be banned in this country.

I like dogs...Dogs for the most part are fine. But dog owners drive me up the wall when they go out walking their dogs.....
Especially when running.......only to be told..."He won't bite he only barks"
Well I bite.....and one day after having a dog growling at me and preventing me from running...and the owner not doing anything other then shouting louder at the dog ((yeah..like that'll work) I had enough....the dog slightly turned and I caught him with such a kick in the balls that it screamed and ran off......The owner was not pleased and started going on about cruelty......I stopped them and pointed to the Gardai across from where we were and I demanded that they go over and report me....otherwise I would report them.......next time I saw them the dog was always on a lead......

I must admit Mick's post made me laugh, I'm still chuckling now.
I know it's not funny if it happens to you, but sometimes you have to laugh.

Whilst kids are products of their parents so are dogs with owners. If a parent has low values on education and not sitting down with their kids to read books and actually talk - then sadly the child will have little hope or expectation. Same with dogs and any dog that is trained will be fantastically well behaved. We have a Golden Retriever and she’s the gentlest dog you can find.

Where we live there are lovely walks in the pinewoods where the elderly walk along a narrow path or dog walkers. Why joggers have to use this route only God knows especially when they expect everyone to move out of the way.

Well I refused to move on Sunday walking my dog and a jogger went into the undergrowth and ended up in a deep puddle so called me an ignorant c unt! I actually told him to come back and say that and he would take a dip face first into the puddle. The f ucker carried on jogging and expected an old couple to move off the path.

Can’t see why joggers don’t run in the roads which would be easier especially when so many elderly folk near us using paths. But no
consideration. I refuse to move out of the way every time so bollox to them!

I and my two dogs were attacked by a greyhound which was not on a lead. Both my dogs needed veterinary treatment, one looked like he’d been shot where the greyhounds teeth had penetrated the fur and skin. I was bitten on hand and arm, blood was running down and dripping to the ground. The dog walker never hurried over to help nor did she apologise. The dogs owner and the woman who hired the dog walker never apologised nor offered to pay the vets bills.

Sadly, I only have one dog now but when off the lead across fields or on footpaths I always hold the collars when a runner or cyclist approaches. I used to do a lot of running and have had my share of dog problems. It is, of course, not really a dog problem but an owner problem. Also too many thickos have inappropriate dogs and see them as some sort of status symbol, no small dog for these idiots, it has to be large and aggressive. These brainless fools are often keeping large dogs in small flats or houses that are just not suitable for such animals. Some owners need to be put down.
