Most of northern services are affect today, I had an email from Northern Rail saying do not travel due to storm Eunice.

"Northern are advising customers not to travel on Friday 18 February between 9am and 9pm due to severe weather across the network.

Customers should expect delays and cancellations and are strongly advised not to travel on Friday 18 February. Customers should check before travelling for the rest of the weekend.

Please check your trains as close to the time of your departure as possible and we urge you to consider whether your journey is necessary."

Further details on each line can be found on the service updates
    https://www.northernrailway.co.uk/service-updates

Doesn't look like Wigan fans will be able to travel by rail.

Thanks fc_miller, but like I said the Doncaster line to Sheffield has been bus's all week,
    from last Sunday.
When we used the trains on Wednesday, we caught the Leeds to Sheffield train at
Swinton, where has there were coaches coming into the railway station, which
was doing cover for Doncaster via Conisborough via Mexborough via Rotherham
to Meadowhall, then vice versa, to cover cancelled train services.

My son messaged me earlier to ask if I can pick him up from Leeds where he’s at University. He doesn’t want to risk the train he plans on catching to Rotherham being cancelled at the last minute. Parenting is for life not just until they leave home right.
