    Officials Officiating Rotherham Utd V Morcambe - Tuesday 22nd February 2022

    Not stepping on Millertop's toes.

    Officials for Rotherham Utd v Morcambe - Tuesday 22nd February 2022

    Referee Simon Mather from Manchester - First time refereeing a Millers game.
    Mather spent 3 seasons refereeing in the National league, promoted to the football
    league for the start of this season, taking charge of his first game in October 2021.

    Mather refereed 22 games, given 99 yellows cards & 8 red cards, 12 of the yellows
    & 1 of the reds given in one match, AFC Wimbledon v Sunderland on the 12th February.

    Running the line - Thomas Harty & David Hunt, Fourth official Richard Woodward.

    Maybe he won't be aversed to giving out a red or two for challenges on Cheio then.
    Most referees appear very reluctant

    Has he been told to take a no nonsense approach as regards cards used.......or.....

    is he just crap...

    22 games 8 reds is going some.
    Looking forward to Tuesday, hope the weather picks up.
