    Credit where it’s due

Just a quick post for three players who do receive a bit of criticism on here ( myself included ).
Brownhill - came of age tonight he was industrious, a terrier and not shot shy - thought he deserved massive credit for his performance.
Cork - played very well tonight sat in front of back 4 squeezed space when he could but did a n amazing job.
Lennon - has gone up incredibly in my
Opinion of late , offers to make space , makes good runs , delivered decent ball but on top of all that his work ethic was brilliant, tenacious in the tackle and closed there space at every opportunity he could.

Hats off to the whole team but I think these three need a special mention.

A lot of fans seem to have lost sight of the fact that Sean wanted to extend Lennon's contract but was overruled and so Aaron left and went playing in Turkey. Under new ownership, Sean re-signed him, much to the annoyance of the vast majority of fans, this season and he has delivered in the games he has played.
Perhaps he is thanking Sean for support given during some dark days ---who knows? Long may it continue.

I thought McNeal had a fantastic game.. tracking back.. loads of crosses, got the assist - this is the player we need.
Week in and week out now McNeal!

It's amazing what a bit of confidence can do to a player.

When the team struggles McNeil plays without conviction or heart and now it seems when we play well he plays well, he's in the wrong team.

I thought the whole team were magnificent, Pieters was outstanding and I hope I am not tempting fete but we didn’t give the ball away sloppily in midfield as we have done many times this season, Mee did once in the first half, but what an inspiration he was and the determination he showed to score the goal was an example to everyone at the club.

If Brownhill and cork can play like that we have a chance , the thing I liked was Brownhill was afforded the freedom to support the front two and he looks so much better for that bit of freedom , if I was to criticise anything our shape let’s us down a bit , when Mcneil pushes on ( especially later in the game ) he sometimes switches off or can’t get back in leaving peiters exposed and they get the overload, they were 3-5-2 for the most part.

But as you say hard to criticise anyone a great 3 points.

The irony is our former manager chucked us a lifeline by taking Wood off our hands and giving us the shekels to buy the perfect catalyst to change our style of play.

Brownhill can now get close enough to Weghorst who is technically good enough to link play up and bring other players in to pose an attacking threat, Jay Rod and Lennon now look like the players of old.

Thanks Eddie. Hell of a job!

Like many, I have eat to humble pie and give credit where credit is due.

Two great results and 6 points in the bag.

Weghorst appears to be influencing our style of play and we are seeing better performances in many areas.

    Bring on Palace!

I have to admit even me, his biggest fan, was beginning to doubt our glorious leader. But he can still do it, I should have known better, he can still galvanise them, never write off the ginger one.
