Thread: No positives

  1. #1

    No positives

Saw nothing to give me hope in lasts nights game.

Defensively we were as poor as ever.

We continue to play people out of position.

We have started hoofing the ball without purpose.

We lack width even though the one area we have strength in depth is out of wide.

    Our attack is none existent.

    The players no longer run.

The tactics seem more suited to u12s football with everything being pre programmed.

The players seems to have lost faith after two games.

We have two new injuries with players out for the season - Roberts and Firpo.

Marsch just speaks nonsense - it is grating how pastiche and shallow it all is.

He seems to just regurgitate the Red Bull play book / listen to his talk on tactics online/ which in the premier league will just get torn apart.

We have lost our point of difference.

I can see this getting a lot worse before it gets any better.

Going down hopey lad - board thought they could keep us up on the cheap for one last season till the 49rs take full control.

Bielsa worked wonders with basically a championship squad - one or two ignorant bell ends who post on this forum should remember just what that bloke did for this club.

Looking forward to losing to my home town club again and getting royally shafted by all my lovely friends (NOT!)

    Positive was it wasn't 5/6.

Even Meslier looks crap now, the odd good save but he is look fragile.

I honestly can't name a player I think is doing well right now even Bamford coming on just looked lost only time he had the ball was in our own half

Was it though? I like Meslier but even that one from Mcginn I'm expecting a PL quality goalie to keep it out

Agreed - compare with Schmeical in the last game who kept them alive to then nick a goal. The difference in age and experience is clear and Meslier will get there in time but maybe with someone else!

Oh one positive - Radz and Orta getting the thoughts of some fans and a look on Radz’s face of oh fcuk what I have I done - but late now though

Someone should play back to both of them Radz’s interview at the season’s start where he was taking about Champions League and Kinnear’s various interviews where he said they were taking a risk but finishing 17th would be good enough hence the investment in younger players who would not yet be ready.

Well by those metrics Bielsa was over performing as we were in 16th. The people who underperformed where those responsible for long term strategy and progression. the Board and shareholders.

Meslier has been left unprotected all season from all angles. But some of the goals he has let in are basically the ones goalkeepers are taught to keep out. Even one yesterday the goal was wide open and the dude kicked it to the corner he was protecting. But I can't blame him for so many shots coming in every game he doesn't have time to think let alone recover.
